Terms of use

Effective date: 26 October 2026 · Developer: Lifenest

By using Lifenest you agree to these terms. Please read them; they are short.

1. What Lifenest is

Lifenest is an app for keeping your important details, documents and dates on your phone and reminding you about them. It is provided by Lifenest.

2. Your data is yours

You own what you put in Lifenest. It stays on your phone (and in your own Google Drive if you turn on backup). We do not receive it. See the privacy policy.

3. Your password and recovery key

You are responsible for your master password and your recovery key. We cannot see or reset them. If you lose both, your data and backups cannot be opened by anyone, including us.

4. Backups

Backups are optional and stored in your own Google Drive, under Google’s terms. Please keep backup turned on if you don’t want to lose your data when a phone is lost, broken or reset. We are not responsible for data lost because backup was off, or because of Google Drive.

5. Reminders

Reminders help, but your phone can delay or block them (for example, battery saving or turned-off notifications). Please don’t rely on Lifenest alone for anything with serious consequences, such as legal or payment deadlines.

6. Fair use

Use Lifenest only for lawful purposes and only for information you are allowed to keep.

7. No warranty

Lifenest is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Lifenest is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data.

8. Credits and third-party licences

Lifenest itself is proprietary software: the app, its design and its name belong to Lifenest. It also uses some third-party and open-source software, which stays under its own licences. These are listed in the app under Settings › About › Credits & licences.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and mention important changes in the app.
